Since relocating to London, Danish bassist Jasper Høiby has re-formed Phronesis with Ivo Neame (UK) on piano and Anton Eger (SE) on drums. Their music is consistently fresh and exuberant with strong melodic grooves inspired by, and drawing upon, a world heritage of rhythms and sounds, leading Jazzwise editor Jon Newey to state recently of the trio in live performance – ‘Phronesis have risen! The most exciting and imaginative piano trio since EST’.
