A message from the Minister for Culture

Message of support for the Glasgow International Jazz Festival I am delighted that the Glasgow International Jazz Festival is now in its 24th year. The festival is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to experience jazz music and to promote the very best in Scottish jazz. As the UNESCO City of Music, Glasgow hosts a fantastic array of musical events such as the Jazz Festival, which is one of the best and biggest in the UK. The festival attracts global artists to the city and also promotes home-grown talent. This year’s programme offers a wealth of talent from the Mose Allison Trio and Brian Kellock to Brass Jaw, offering something for all to enjoy. I hope this will be yet another successful year for the festival. Fiona Hyslop, Minister for Culture and External Affairs
